I
have played my first draw in
Champions
League,
Wolfgang Bauer
( GER ) played very well and had no problem to defend him
self after I had started with the English opening. So the game ended
draw after 22 moves.Wolfgang is playing for the team "The Chessfriends"
who are leading the group. The

I have played draw against Mr. Patrik Hugentobler
from Switzerland in
Christoffel
memorial. I had the white pieces and the opening was one
Grunfeld variation and ended draw in 21. moves.

League,
I have won with black against Mr. Geoffrey
C. Rosser who is from England and are playing for team U.K. Black
Knights. With this victory I also got Randaberg Vikings
first victory in ICCF Champions League. The

memorial, I played draw with white against Mr. Anthony
Barnsley who is from England and have the title SIM.

WebMaster have received the SIM title !
To day it was time for the ICCF Title Award
Ceremony, and Roald Berthelsen who is the Norwegian delegate in
this year ICCF Congress, received the SIM title on behalf of me. I
got the title after made 4 IM norms. The norms was made in
following tournaments ; 1 st. North Sea Team Tournament Board 6,
Bernard Partridge Memorial Final, InterZonal 2002 Board 6 and VI.
EU MSM. board 5 for Norway. In the last tournament I have still
one game left and need to win this game to get my first GM norm.

have finished my two first game´s in the 4th
Nordic Team Tournament. Both ended draw. I played
black against Mr. Olavi Neuvonen from Finland and with white
against Mr. Allan Ringsborg from Denmark. The

against Mr. John Mousessian from USA with black after he had

Wales with black and I won my black game against Mr. Pedro Garcia
Corada from Spain. The

has earned the SIM title.
The WebMaster have today got information from Mr. George Pyrich
who is the Qualifications Commissioner for ICCF and also TD. in
Bernard
Partridge Memorial Final that after Mr.
Torsten Lang from Germany have given up our game I have got my
fourth IM norm and then qualified for the award of the SIM title.
I will get the title in the next ICCF Congress.

Only one game is left in this exciting event, and the
destiny of first and second places hangs on the outcome! I have
completed my two last game´s, I won my Black game against Mr.
Torsten Lang from Germany and my white game against Mr. Jørgen
Poulsen from Denmark and leads with 9/12. Manuel Summers of
Belgium is in close pursuit with 8½/11, and his unfinished
game with Steve Williams of England will decide the winner. Heiko
Starke of Germany has finished third with 8/12. The

I have finished my two last game in
InterZonal
2000, Board 6. I played draw against Mr. Simonenko
with White and I won my Black game against Mr. Surroca Collazo.
That means that all the games on this board are finished and I
ended up with 4½ /
8 and got one more SIM norm. Tony
Barnsley have reached the GM norm of
6 / 8 and Sergey
Simonenko have reached the IM norm of 4½
/ 8 on board 6. That have to mean this qualifies him
for the IM title, since Sergey fixed rating at the start of the
tournament was 2450. My Congratulations goes to Tony
and Sergey !
